Basic – £71.50 + VAT
For any role. Shows unspent convictions and conditional cautions. Popular with retail, hospitality, logistics, cleaning and construction employers.

The digital result is emailed on receipt; the applicant's certificate follows by post.
For Standard and Enhanced checks, we'll email you a short agreement to e-sign before we continue.
Employee background check FAQs
How quickly will I get results?
We email results as soon as the DBS issues them. Enhanced results sometimes arrive within a day, and 85% of Enhanced certificates are back within 5 days.
Can I check existing employees as well as new starters?
Yes. You can request a check for current staff at any time, as long as the level is right for their role and they agree to the check.
Do applicants need to post their ID?
No. As the employer, you check the applicant's original documents in person and enter the details on the form.
What does a background check include?
It depends on the level. Basic checks show unspent convictions and conditional cautions; Standard and Enhanced checks show more. See which check you need.
